Rare in unifying mountain ranges, deserts and Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts in a single country, Morocco has a well-developed outdoor activities industry covering trekking, mountain biking, 4x4 desert off-roading, camel and bivouac desert trips, horse-riding wind-surfing and many, many other less obvious pursuits such as white-water rafting, skiing and air ballooning.
Visitors to Morocco can dedicate their trip fully to outdoor activities or, just as often, incorporate these activities alongside city-type pursuits for an interesting mix and experience.

Trekking
Founded in 2004 by Canadian Robbin Yager and Moroccan Essalah Chabaoui, Morocco Explored offers a range of activities across Morocco including trekking in the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara, desert trips by camel, and day trips from Marrakech.
Trekking and Mountain Biking
Founded in 2005 by Anglo-French couple Charlie Shepherd and Melodie Selvon following two years of extensive research of mountain bike routes and hiking trails, Epic Morocco offers mountain-biking and trekking in the Atals Mountains and at other locations throughout Morocco.
Established and managed by a local and experienced Berber team, Berber Travel Adventures offer single and multi-day cultural excursions in the High Atlas mountains with a strong cultural aspect. Guests experience Moroccan culture closely by visiting small mountain villages and staying in Berber homes for an afternoon, two days, or longer.
Surfing
Pure Blue Moroc is a UK surf specialist operating from a luxury beach-front villa on a unpopulated stretch of coast between Casablanca and Rabat in North Morocco. As well as instruction from a team that includes European surf champions, services include transportation,, food and even yoga and massage.
White-water rafting
Scottish and Moroccan based white water specialist operating from different river locations throughout Morocco depending on the time of year. Splash welcome individuals or group for half a day, a full weekend break or a full week of adventure.
Desert Adventure
Head-quartered in Marrakech and operating from the edges of the Sahara desert, Dunes and Desert is a Moroccan-led international team specialising in the full rnage of desert activities including 4x4 off-roading, quad biking, camel trips, horse-riding, bivouacing and trekking.
Air-ballooning
Under the ownership of Marrakech based Frenchman Maurice Otin, Ciel d'Afrique will collect its passengers from their hotels and riads and drive them by 4x4 to a country site outside from Marrakech for short balloon flights.
