Description
Riad Villa El Arsa is situated within a five to ten minute walk from the medina and its many shops, souks and restaurants. Yet despite the inner-city location Riad El Arsa maintains a surprisingly quiet and peaceful environment (please note hotel policy disallows children under fourteen to stay in an attempt to preserve the tranquility)
All of the riad can be booked exclusively (then making it possible for children to stay) or rooms can be reserved individually. Riad El Arsa offers four rooms on the first floor with air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. The rooms provide double or twin beds (in the case of one room an extra bed is included), comfortably furnished and decorated simply. The riad’s style has a Spanish influence, with large terracotta pots decorating the courtyard, whilst the riad’s restaurant has a rustic feel.
Whilst breakfast is included in the price at the riad, lunch and dinner is available upon request and can be tailored towards personal taste. Meals can be served in the restaurant or outside in the courtyard.
Riad Villa El Arsa’s roof-top terrace allows guests to sunbathe and take in a view over the medina and snow-peaked Atlas Mountains. To cool down a plunge pool in the courtyard makes a refreshing break. Alternatively, two lounges are also available for guests to relax, listen to music or to take advantage of the riad’s book collection.
Guests wanting to explore Marrakesh can seek advice from the riad’s enthusiastic, young staff. Guests wishing to explore further afield can arrange excursions and treks to the desert and Atlas Mountains with English-speaking guides through the riad. These can either be day-trips or overnight excursions and can be arranged before arrival or once guests have settled into the riad.
Where is it?
Riad El Arsa is located within a 30 minute drive from Marrakech airport and a 10 minute walk from the main medina.

Great place for a couple of days, nice comfy rooms and a cosy atmosphere. Staff were kind and breakfasts were lovely- though didn’t try any other meals at the riad. Nice and quiet – would absolutely recommend.

Riad El Arsa is a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the main medina. Allthough its easy to find when you know where it is, I would advise getting a taxi from the airport as it can be tricky otherwise. The staff were sweet, offering us mint tea on arrival and serving us dinner the next day. They spoke quite a bit of English so communication wasn’t too much trouble. Our room was understated yet still comfortable and the roof terrace makes a good platform to view the city. We managed to see and do everything in Marrakesh that we intended, it was a brilliant trip!
